Abstract EN

This study entitled “the employment of temporal paradox in Ibrahim Ishaq's novel, “The Old School Festival”.

It aims to identify the technique of temporal paradox with its two types; retrieval and anticipation in the novel under study, and the writer's ability to employ it to achieve its aim.

To achieve the study’s aim and its purposes, the study adopted integrative descriptive approach and came out wit h the most prominent results that, the temporal paradox played a major role in the course of the novel’s events which contributed to the structure of the temporal novel, and the retrieval occupied a greater space in the text of the novel.
