This study aims at showing the most significant difficulties that the vocational training system in Morocco faced during the Covid 19 pandemic and that will face in the future.

The focus will be on two issues: the effect of Covid 19 and the necessity for modern digital technologies, considering the fact that the provided communication technologies were only part of a temporary solution that public institutions had put in place in order to reduce the damage caused by the pandemic.

By using the descriptive analytical approach, the study found that the Moroccan vocational training system faced the pandemic with all the provided means; and it, indeed, managed to deal with part of its effects.

However, training programs have been limited during this period, which resulted in the failure to attain the period’s strategic objectives.

Therefore, a number of opportunities for youth integration and employment during the pandemic years were lost.

In addition, by analyzing the reality of the current training programs and focusing on their capacity to adapt to modern technologies, it can be noticed that they cannot cope with the exceptional situation in general and with the pandemic context in particular.

Moreover, the study also noticed that the current vocational training system cannot keep up with worldwide vocational training experiences and with numerous changes related to technology, artificial intelligence programs, and the digital revolution.

Hence, these factors are considered to be the most important challenges that have been facing the sector in this period, and which may result in deeper problems in the future.

The researcher included in her study some recommendations, mainly opening up to the international vocational training market, involving local academic elites in the search for solutions to the current problematic issues in Moroccan dynamic fields and sectors, and working on the implementation of a focused vocational training strategy that keeps pace with worldwide technology trends, taking into consideration the fact that the economic future of Morocco is related to the future of vocational training in the after-pandemic period.
