Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of attitudes of social and psychological specialists towards the treatment of addicts in private centers، by identifying trends (cognitive - emotional - behavioral).

Erada and Mental Health Hospital in Riyadh, through a questionnaire tool consisting of (48) phrases distributed over the three axes of the study, and the number of the final sample for the study after excluding incomplete questionnaires was (112) social and psychological specialists, The study found a set of results, the most important of which is the presence of strong positive (cognitive, emotional, behavioral) trends among the specialists of the study sample towards private centers for the treatment of addicts with acceptance trend came in the first order with an average of (4.22), meaning strong approval، followed by The behavioral dimension with an average of (4.10) and the cognitive dimension with an average of (4.03), i.e.

approval.

The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the average responses of social and psychological workers of the study sample towards treating addicts in private centers about the three dimensions of knowledge, affective and behavioral due to the variable Gender, educational qualification, and about the cognitive and emotional dimensionand support, where the emotional Attributable to the age variable, while there were statistically significant differences about the specialists’ responses about the behavioral dimension due to the age variable in favor of the age group from 40 to 45 years from the rest of the age groups, and that there were statistically significant differences about the three cognitive, affective and behavioral dimensions attributed to the specialization variable, In favor of the social work specialization, where the significance values were less than (0.05) According to these results, a set of planning indicators were presented that could contribute to activating the national strategy for drug control towards special centers in the Treatment and rehabilitation of addiction.
