Abstract EN

"The study aimed to determine the nature of the role played by the Jewish lobby in Azerbaijan since the collapse of the Soviet Union in the year 1990 AD, where the Azerbaijani Jewish lobby has great material capabilities that are employed by Israel to strengthen its relations with Azerbaijan, especially in the economic, military and security field, which led to the strengthening Israel’s desire to strengthen ties of cooperation in various fields with Azerbaijan, especially in the field of oil, gas, trade and industry, not to mention the ever-growing cooperation in the military and security (intelligence) fields, in addition to the extremely important geo-political site that Azar has Bijan runs in the Transcaucasia region, and its border with Iran, which is anti-Israel.

Likewise, the ethnic overlap on the border areas between them, and given the tense relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, due to the difference in political systems between the secular rulers of Azerbaijan, and the religious rule of Iran, Israel seeks to exploit this dispute and strengthen its relations with Azerbaijan.

The study was divided into five axes: The first, the Azerbaijani Jewish presence in Azerbaijan (historical overview).

The second is the contributions of the Azerbaijani Jewish lobby and their repercussions on the position of the Jews in Azerbaijan, and the third: A reading of regional environment variables, its role in the growth and expansion of bilateral relations, and the fourth, Israeli-Azerbaijani relations 1991-2018 in the light of the influence of the Azerbaijani Jewish lobby.

Fifth, the repercussions of Israeli-Azerbaijani cooperation on the countries of the region.

The study relied on the following approaches: (systems analysis approach, mutual benefit approach (national interest), analytical approach, in addition to the historical approach)."
