This subject examines materialism, in terms of its concept, names, philosophy, and intellectual fallacies, where materialism forms the infrastructure and cognitive model of many modern philosophies, as it represents the frame of reference for the general vision of these theories, in its various views and intellectual opinions, and influenced many cultural and intellectual elites.

The study consists of introduction and researchers, the first research has talked about the concept of materialism, and its names, and between this research the difference of the concept of materialism in scientific and philosophical theorists, as between the names they call, such as mechanism, natural, and one, and the statement of whether materialism has a unified philosophy based on it, as the research showed the most important factors that helped the emergence of atheistic materialism.

The second research spoke of the intellectual fallacies underlying contemporary materialism, such as the use of vague concepts, the generalization of judgments, the submission of man to material philosophies and his response to the laws of nature, and the sanctification of the material.
