Tafsir scholars, in the past and present, have been interested in the topic of "Al-Muhkam and Al-Mutashabih" in the Holy Qur’an.

Some of them have talk about it in a single book, and some of them included it in the introduction to his "Tafsir", and some of them devoted a study to it within the studies of the sciences of the Holy Qur’an.

This is because of its importance in the science of "Tafsir".

Imam al-Ragheb, is one of those who researched this section of the sciences of the Holy Qur’an, in the folds of his most famous books, namely: "Tafsir al-Ragheb", and "Al-Mufradat fe ghareeb Al-Qur’an".

He had definitions and divisions that predicted a broad extrapolation, worth highlighting and showing its scientific value.
