Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the meanings of the students Graffiti at Tafila Technical University; the study sample consisted of 459 Graffiti writings collected from various university facilities.

The researcher used the content analysis method to collect data and answer the study questions; by preparing an analysis card prepared for this purpose, its validity and reliability were established.

The results indicated that 36.8% of the graffiti were written inside bathrooms, 25.1% were written on the walls in the corridors and inside the classrooms, 21.8% were written on seats, while 16.3% of the writings were on doors.

The most prominent interpretations for the students’ graffiti were as follows: political and social connotations 25%, violence 20%, educational connotations 15%, psychological connotations 18%, religious connotations 15%, and finally cultural and historical connotations 6%.

The study recommended the necessity of strengthening student activities that contribute to integrating students with each other in a way that pervades the spirit of the team and rejects division and promotes societal values and morals of the university student, and the work of brochures and training workshops to encourage students to free expression in appropriate places, and to educate students about the need to preserve the university properties.
