Abstract EN

The study was done on a population that consisted of the tenth graders in Qadri Touqan School.

It aimed to identify the effect of employing flipped learning strategy on academic achievement and attitudes of the students in the Arabic subjects.

The Experimental approach with a quasi-experimental design was used by the researchers on 44 students divided into two classes.

One of the classes was the experimental and the other one was the control group.

A guide in teaching Arabic language with a reflexive learning strategy was applied on the experimental group.

The data was collected using an achievement test and a questionnaire.

The hypotheses were examined using the accompanying binary covariance analysis (ANCOVA) at a significance level (α=0.05).

The results that there were significant differences between the two groups on the average achievement for the topics of rhetorical issues and expressive writing due to the teaching method.

There was also a significant effect of reflexive learning strategy towards students’ attitudes for Arabic language research.

The researchers recommended that training courses for teachers must be given in planning lessons using reflexive strategy and conducting specialized studies on rhetorical issues and expressive writing in all educational stages.
