Abstract EN

The study aimed to determine the degree of need for partnership between secondary schools in Jordan and the local community, based on the Hofstede model of cultural dimensions from the point of view of school leaders.

It adopted the descriptive analytical approach, where the information was collected through a questionnaire sampled by 1000 male and female teachers in the capital, Amman, including 500 male and 500 female teachers.

The study concluded that the reality of partnership between the community and the school came to a medium degree, as the field of masculinity in contrast to the feminine ranked first, while the field of individuality unlike the collective ranked second, and the third place was occupied by the field of avoiding the unknown, and occupied the fourth place the occupational influence and leniency versus self-control and finally the Less field came the long-term view of the future.

The importance of the partnership between the school and the local community came to a high degree, and the results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree attributed to the variables of gender, sector, and the presence of statistically significant differences in the variable of experience in favor of (5-10) years.

The results showed a need to activate the community partnership based on the Hofstede model.

Based on the results of the study, many recommendations were developed, including building an educational guide to activate community partnership based on the Hofstede model.
