Abstract EN

This paper entitled "The Codification of the Prophetic Sunnah in Modernist Thought (a critical study)" deals with how the modernists approached the issue of codification the Prophet’s Sunnah, through the introduction that paved the way for the topic and revealed the modernists ’method of dealing with issues of the Islamic religion.

Then comes the first topic to talk about the most important claims of the modernists that are related to the codification of the Prophet’s Sunnah.

Next comes the second topic, the criticism of the modernist proposition raised about the codification of the Prophet’s Sunnah with transcriptional and mental evidence.

After that comes the conclusion in which the researcher mentions the findings he had reached through his research, with recommendations made by the researcher to the responsible bodies for educating the nation, and to those who stand up to respond to modernists and refute their suspicions .

The researcher concluded with a statement of the soundness of the methods of the Prophet’s Sunnah reaching us with a statement with which it is correct to attribute the Prophet’s hadiths -which is consistent in the judgment of the narrators- to those who mentioned them, to cut off the modernists ’doubts about the delay in codification.

Consequently, the reader stands to prove the reliability that the noble hadith elevates to be a source of the true religion, like that of the Holy Quran.
