Abstract EN

This study aimed to identify the level of application of the dimensions of total quality management in the Jordanian food industry companies and the classification of companies according to the business strategy.

The relationship with suppliers, the use of statistical control systems and feedback, team building, employee participation and empowerment) in the impact of business strategy (differentiation and cost leadership) on organizational performance.

The study population consisted of workers in food industry companies in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the study sample included workers in companies operating in four governorates in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, namely: Amman, Zarqa, Madaba, and Karak.

The questionnaire was used as a data collection tool.

Among the most prominent results of the study: The number of factories that apply the cost leadership strategy reached (91) factories, at a rate of (62.8%) of the total number of factories of the study sample, while the factories that follow the differentiation strategy amounted to (54) companies, at a rate of (37.2%).

Food factories adopt the concept of total quality management, at a high level, as the results of the descriptive analysis indicated that the focus was arranged as follows: (commitment and support by senior management, focus on the customer, use of statistical control systems, feedback, training, development, and improvement continuous operations, building work teams, participation and empowerment of employees and the relationship with suppliers), and this indicates the interest and awareness of higher managements of the concept of total quality management and their awareness of its importance in raising the level of institutional performance.
