Abstract EN

This study analyzes the role played by political reforms in the kingdom of Bahrain in light of the events of February and March 2011, as a mechanism towards giving more legitimacy to the country’s ruling system, and gaining the satisfaction of the citizens.

his priority on the panorama is the series of measures and measures thathave affected the political system in the kingdom of Bahrain since king Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa took office in 1999.

this study aimed to focus on the leadership’s position on political demands by proposing four initiatives for national dialogue, which fall within the scope of achieving good governance in society, as improving capacities at the level of local government and political associations, and according to the united nations development program, participation, accountability, effectiveness and equity are the most important elements good governance is one of the goals of political reform.

the study concluded that the Bahraini political system, with all its authorities and agencies, has dealt with the events by resorting to peaceful solutions first, by maximizing the language of dialogue, and allowing the demonstrators to sit in, leading to the use of security solutions and the intervention of the peninsula shield forces, after the danger of the intervention of regional powers during the events in the kingdom and striking its political and economic stability and the social fabric.

the study emphasizes the importance of the great role played by the political leadership and the crown prince in the actual implementation by actively involving the Bahraini citizen in setting the state's general policies on the basis of openness and transparency.
