Abstract EN

The current research aims to identify: The effect of numbered heads and four corners’ strategies in developing some habits of mind among sixth elementary pupils in science, to achieve goal of the research, the researcher put a null hypothesis, subdivided into three subordinate ones.

Research sample included (45) students, With (15) pupils in each of research groups.

To verify objective of the research and its hypotheses The researcher prepared the daily plans for the three research groups and built the research tool (the Habits of Mind test).

Its validity and stability were verified after passing a group of experts and specialists in the field of educational and psychological sciences.

Stability was found using kudor Richard son 20 formula reaching (0,84) a good stability as well as statistical packages system (SPSS).

The results showed the surpass of numbered heads strategy and four corners strategy in developing habits of mind for sixth graders, over traditional method.

According to the results of the research, the researcher came out with many recommendations, the most important of which are: directing science teachers to adopt the strategies of the numbered heads and the four pillars in teaching science in primary schools, As a complement, the researcher presented a number of proposals, the most important of which is a study aimed at identifying the impact of the numbered heads and the four pillars strategies on other variables such as acquiring scientific concepts.
