Abstract EN

The aim of the research is to shed light on the extent of the crime of theft and burglary in the governorates of Gaza, and to identify its spatial distribution, in addition to identifying the demographic, social and economic characteristics of the perpetrators of the crime of robbery and burglary, and the consequences thereof.

On the primary, social and economic characteristics of the perpetrators of theft and burglary .

The results showed that the crime of theft and robbery resulted from economic, social and religious reasons, and that the crime of robbery and robbery in the governorates of Gaza was constantly increasing, and the main reason for its rise was due to the economic conditions of the residents of the Gaza Strip, the lack of job opportunities, poverty and unemployment .

The study recommended the need to improve economic conditions as they have a significant impact on crime rates, improve the natural environment due to its link with crime rates, and develop the relevant security services for the crime community in proportion to the accelerated horizontal and vertical growth of the Gaza governorates, and the increase in security personnel and its synchronization with the increase in population numbers Gaza governorates.
