Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the satisfaction with the university major among the students of Umm Al-Qura University, Al-Qunfudhah Branch, and to identify the level of academic procrastination, as well as to identify the relationship between satisfaction with the university major and academic procrastination.

The study sample consisted of (265) students who were randomly selected.

To achieve the objectives of the study, two tools were applied: the first is the measure of satisfaction with the university major, and the second is the measure of academic sluggishness, which was developed by the researcher.

The results of the study showed that students have a high level of satisfaction with the university major, and the results of the study also indicated a low level of academic procrastination in its behavioral, emotional and cognitive dimensions, all of which came with values less than the hypothetical average, and the results of the study also showed that there is a negative correlation And statistically significant at the level of significance (0.01) between satisfaction with the university major and academic procrastination.
