Corruption is a social scourge that concerns all countries, and it affects the public and private sectors in their various fields.

corruption has become the biggest challenge that hinders economic, social and political development, especially in developing countries.

and Algeria, as a country that recently followed the liberal system and the free market economy, and during this transformation, it found itself in the face of widespread administrative, financial, and even political corruption.

so Algeria hastened to join and ratify international agreements aimed at combating this global phenomenon.

the beginning was the issuance of law 06-01 related to the prevention and control of corruption.

but the percentage of corruption has become large during the work of this body and this is due to absence of real mechanisms to ca carry out its tasks, as the political will in 2020 constitutional amendment by establishing the supreme authority for transparency, prevention and control of corruption, and giving it oversight powers that are expected to be strengthened after the issuance of the regulating it embodies the will to fight corruption, remove the disparity between the legal and institutional framework, and the practical reality of combating corruption in Algeria.
