يتناول هذا المقال موضوع الرموز التي يستخدمها الصوفية في أدبهم و تخاطباتهم و تعبيراتهم عن المواجيد و الأشواق و المكاشفات التي تعرض للصوفي في رحلة التعرف على الله، وقد استخدم الصوفية الترميز في الكلام خوفا من سوء فهم كلامهم، و درءا لفتنة قد تصيب العوام و يكون ضررها أكثر من نفعها.
و من أهم هذه الرموز: رمز المرأة، و رمز الطير، و رمز الخمر، و رمز النور.

This article deals with the symbols that Sufis use in their literature, their conversations, and their expressions of the glories, longings, and revelations that are presented to the Sufi on the journey to know God.
