The researcher chose the novel the Kung by the narrator Hammour Ziadah to be a field of studying one of the elements.

The main motivation for choosing this topic was the large and increasing presence of the novel as well as the increase of its readers if compared to its poetic counterparts.

This is besides shedding light on the writers whose fame shone in the recent years on the map of the Arabic novel.

Through this study, the researcher aims to answer the following questions.

Who is Hammour Ziada? What is the connotation of the term Kung and its literary relevant text? How well does the fictional place do its job?
