The argument between traditional film and digital film become the most popular clichés lately, the story and the message are the most important thing in the movie, more important than the cellulite and the pixel which are the medium the director uses to make the film image, even the way of displaying the films on the big or small screen is optional since it is connected to the image and the story of the film, and affects, how the recipient interprets the film on a subconscious level, in 1964 Marshall Mcluhan published ‘the medium is the message’ who showed in his theories “that the medium in which the content is presented is as important as the content itself..” if we took the film as an example, it will show that the methods of filmmaking originated through the medium (the camera), the medium used in cinematography, whether it is a digital film or a traditional film, has an effect centered around the recipient's interpretation of the story, it wasn't from outside the cinema it was born from its womb, and it is known that cinema originated and developed as a result of various technical discoveries, the most important of which is photography and the subsequent holistic development of silent film, talking cinema and then colored cinema.
