In this study, we propose to explore the question of the translation of irony and the (re)formulation of the meaning.

as irony is a linguistic phenomenon that is far from having a consensual and univocal definition and gives rise to the most varied interpretations, we attempt to approach the concept in order to identify the nature of the phenomenon, to define how it functions and to manage its translation while studying the limits and possibilities of translation as well as the challenges of grasping meaning and reproducing it.
