The study aimed to identify the importance of using the E-Portfolio in teaching the computer and information technology course from the point of view of computer teachers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

To achieve this goal, the current study relied on the descriptive approach, and the study sample consisted of (348) computer teachers from all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who were chosen by the stratified random sampling method.

A questionnaire was designed as a data collection tool for this study.

The results of the study showed that computer teachers see a very high importance of using E-Portfolio in teaching the computer and information technology course to intermediate and secondary school students in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In light of the results of the study, it was revealed that there was a statistical difference on the importance of using E-Portfolio attributed to the gender variable in favor of female teachers.

In addition, the results also showed that there was a statistical significant difference between the averages of the importance of using E-Portfolio in teaching the computer and information technology course due to the academic qualification variable in favor of those who hold an educational bachelor’s qualification studying through the sequential method.

However, there were no statistically significant differences due to teaching experience and educational district variables.

The study recommended supporting and encouraging computer teachers to use E-Portfolio, and the study suggested searching the effectiveness of using E-Portfolio and comparing its use with the paper portfolio in teaching the computer and information technology course.
