Abstract EN

This study aims to try to identify the cinematic employment of the image of popular resistance against the French colonialist in Algerian cinema in terms of form, content, style and characters, as this research belongs to critical studies that rely on the critical approach, and define the research community in Algerian cinema, and an intentional sample was chosen in the Algerian film "Sheikh Bouamama".

This study came out with several results, the most important of which are: The film presented a bright positive image of the popular resistance, and the extent of the courage of this resistance in order to defeat this colonizer and liberate the land, as well as the film illustrated several methods of unfair colonial dealings against the Algerian people.
