Abstract EN

The present study aimed at revealing the role of regional radio in Algeria and its role in achieving sustainable development in the local community.

In line with the nature of the subject, the descriptive analytical approach and the method of content analysis were used.

In order to collect the data from the field, the questionnaire was applied to a sample of (1000) listeners the regional radio station.

This study concluded by emphasizing the relative contribution of regional radio to achieving sustainable development ( social, environmental and economic ) in the local society.

However, it suffers from a number of problems that limit its effectiveness and the performance of its awareness functions.
