The danger of extremism and the accompanying terrorism is no longer confined to a specific country or region, but has become a global phenomenon, as extremist and jihadist cross-border organizations do not exclude a country or region in their terrorist operations; There is no doubt that the complexity and intertwining of the phenomenon of extremism and terrorism has been reflected in one way or another on the nature of the strategies adopted by countries to confront it.

All society institutions participate in combating this phenomenon, starting with the family, passing through educational institutions, media and civil society organizations, and ending with the private sector, which requires the integration of the efforts of these institutions with the efforts of the state in confronting the phenomenon of extremism and terrorism.

This research summarizes the role of the educational institution in combating extremism and terrorism through three axes.

In the first axis, we dealt with the concept of extremism and violent extremism, while the second axis touched on the role of the educational institution in combating extremism, and the third axis clarified the most important proposals and treatments to combat extremism through the educational institution.
