The period during which the ottomans ruled Iraq for nearly four centuries is one of the worst historical periods in Iraq’s history when it was an era of backwardness and in justice in which Iraq and Iraqis suffered injustice and oppression of various forms.

in addition to obliterating the Arab identity and recruiting young people in wars without interest, exploiting wealth turning the country back, Iraq received the attention of major countries, especially Britain, which worked hard to control the whole country because Iraq is considered to be in the interest of British strategic interest because of the importance of its location.

all these things led British politicians to take care of the control of Iraq, implement British, policy and promote the sectarian project with the aim of penetrating the community system, weakening it and fragmenting it.
