This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of monetary policy in targeting inflation in Algeria during the period from (1990-2019), by addressing the theoretical aspect of monetary policy and inflation targeting and showing the impact of the most important macroeconomic variables (interest rate rate, rediscount rate, money supply in the concept In order to achieve this, the Autoregressive Distributed Time Lapse (ARDL) model was used, whereby the study concluded that there is a positive and significant effect of the growth rate of the money supply in the broad sense on the inflation rate in the short and long term.

As well as the existence of a direct effect on the exchange rate in the long run and a direct effect of the rate of rediscounting in the short term on inflation.
