The research paper aims to assess the implications of government subsidies on the state's general budget, Through our study of the case of Algeria in the period between 2010-2020, And to identify the basic concepts of the general budget and government subsidies, as well as the impact of government subsidies on the general budget, The study concluded that government subsidies are represented in social transfers, It benefited from a considerable share of 22% of the total public expenditure, And it caused the general budget deficit by between 130%and 117% in the last 4 years of the study period, And it had an Significant negative impact on the general budget.
