This research paper attempts to highlight the theatrical approach to historical events in Abdelhalim Rahmoun's play "a memory from Alsace".

the aim of this study is twofold.

first, it focuses on the historical events and how they are deployed in dramatic theatrical events.

as it highlights, on the other hand, the method being undertaken and its purpose.

a careful analysis of the subject matter reveals that the author was broadcasting on stage decisive events on the Algerian history.

in this play, he deployed dramatic formulas as a means to reduce the detailed events and the use of diverse characters and relied on important drama aspects such as narration, deletion conciseness and indication to events.
