Magic has been a known matter since the creation of Man.

According to the classical Arab dictionaries, magic as a linguistic meaning is the fact of deceiving and creating some influence on the heart of people either positively or negatively.

As it is mainly focused on the influence on Man's heart and his feelings and emotions.

The mind may be involved in that, and perhaps the relationship between the mind and the heart appears when each of them fall under the influence of magic, which must then influence the second in an opposite way.

The term magic usually denotes several concepts in Algerian popular poetry.

We try to conduct a survey on the Algerian popular poetry to see how dothe poets use the term of magic and its different meanings.

And to what extend have they been influenced by the Quran and the sayings of our Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be Upon Him)? And do they devote a part of their poetry to talk about the magic of women's beauty.
