Abstract EN

The purpose of this empirical research study is to investigate the level of optimism and pessimism among graduating students enrolled at the faculty of education in Zulfi.

The study sample consisted of (209) students from the College of Education in Zulfi, including (110) male students (99) female students during the year 2021-2022.

To achieve the objectives of the study, Al-Jamal optimism and pessimism scale of (2020) was administrated.

The findings of the study showed that; The level of optimism was high, while pessimism was in an average level.

There are significant statistical differences at α = 0.05 for the effect of gender on the level of optimism and in favor of males, while pessimism was in favor of females.

The findings of the study showed that there is a negative relationship between optimism and pessimism.
