Abstract EN

Electronic applications take a large area of the life and details of the child, especially entertainment and educational applications.

Children are the real wealth of any nation, and the culture of the child is the first building block of human culture and society, so every advanced society is keen that the child enjoys all the reasons for luxury and education, and because nature tends to the child Recognizing and discovering new things surro u nding him, the interest from the beginning was to involve him, whether at school or at home, in realizing the importance of dealing with electronic communication technologies and taking from them what benefits him, so the design of the interactive application for the child should receive special attention, as the designer ignores the involvement of the child while designing the application Therefore, we find that it does not take into account all the ergonomic factors that enable the child to use the safe, enjoyable and interactive application, so this paper aims to evaluate the user experience (UX) of children when interacting with the educational or entertainment application and to explore and understand the usability issues in providing fun and fun through experiences Creative Learning for Children, and how this assessment can be used to reveal general opportunities for design improvement Conducting the study to understand how children experience with interactive educational applications, where the researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach, and then data was collected to monitor the children’s interaction with the application, by observing fifty- f our children (aged between 7 and 11 years) on how they interacted with the Letter School application (An application designed to teach children in a fun way) where the researchers designed a specific questionnaire to evaluate this user experience while interacting with the different application interfaces, and children were also provided with sticky notes to freely express their experience, perceptions and opinions about the application.

Where the results showed a distinction between young children and older children in terms of their use of the application.

We also found that young children struggled and felt frustrated at not being able to do their task well.

This paper also presents the impact of user experience and usability in developing applications for children.
