Abstract EN

This study was conducted in the state of Khartoum to contribute to the improvement of safety conditions in industrial facilities by benefiting from training.

And to reduce risks, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method and also used the questionnaire as a tool for the study.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which were: that the safety conditions are below what is required in nearly half of the industrial facilities, as for the previous training courses, (80 %) of the trainees had never been trained The study also showed that most of the trainees before training did not have sufficient information about safety procedures.

After training, most of the trainees, with a better percentage, had sufficient information about safety procedures, and the study concluded with a number of recommendations, including the following: Inclusion of safety training within the vocational and industrial training curricula Linking the worker’s insurance as follows: injury compensation to receiving basic safety training, activating the supervisory work of the competent authorities To ensure that the factories do what is required, the industrial establishments must have a competent person qualified in the field of safety at the head of the responsibility for safety, and a specialized center approved in the field of safety in accordance with specific and binding training policies within the career progression of the worker.
