Abstract EN

This study seeks to discuss the idea of the possibility of applying case study, which is an approach to the qualitative method to research in educational leadership.

This study discusses four main topics: 1.

defining the qualitative method; 2.

defining case study; 3.

the possibility of using case study to improve research in educational leadership; 4.

the difference between what is published about educational leadership in Arabic and English in research that uses qualitative research in general and case study in particular.

The descriptive approach was used for the first, second and third questions, and the qualitative method via content analysis was used to achieve the study's objectives.

Qualitative research has numerous advantages which serve the modern trends in educational research, particularly educational leadership.

The researcher has presented an innovative model for building case study.

The study has provided several recommendations and examples of research and messages that have applied case study in research in educational leadership.

Finally, the study concluded with that what is published about educational leadership in Arabic is very little compared to what is published in English, whether in books, refereed scientific studies or scientific theses.
