Abstract EN

This research aims to (evaluate the social studies curriculum for the intermediate stage according to the constructivist theory) by answering the following question: What is the level of availability of constructivist thought in the middle school social studies curriculum? First: the conclusions 1- The results of the evaluation of the social curriculum for the combined classes in the field of objectives and evaluation are achieved by (100%), and the distribution of their achievement is that they are achieved in the field within the social curriculum for the first and second intermediate grades.

2 From the results of evaluating the social studies curriculum for the combined classes in the field of teaching methods, achieved (61.8 .).

.3- The evaluation of the social studies curriculum for the first intermediate grade in the (content domain) is achieved by (60%), while the percentage was not achieved for the content domain for the second intermediate grade with a percentage of (58.74).

4- The percentage of the results of evaluating the social studies curriculum for the first intermediate grade for the fields combined amounted to (67.39%), which is an average percentage.

5-The percentage of the results of evaluating the social studies curriculum for the second intermediate grade for the combined fields is (63,37%), which is an average percentage.

6- The percentage of the results of evaluating the social studies curriculum for the first intermediate and second intermediate grades for the fields combined is (65.38%), which is considered an average percentage Second: Recommendations: The researcher recommends a number of recommendations based on the findings of the research, as follows: 1- The necessity of involving teachers of the social studies curriculum in the process of developing the social studies curriculum at the intermediate stage.

2- Benefiting from the constructivist thought and applying it in educational institutions, especially in the field of social studies curricula from the intermediate stage.

3- Those responsible for preparing the curricula must take into account the individual differences of learners and their mental and age levels.

4- Those responsible for preparing the curricula should take into consideration that the curriculum consists of several aspects, objectives, methods, teaching methods, content, evaluation, and is not limited to the textbook of the subject.

5- The need to adopt the principles of constructivist thought and gradually introduce them to all school stages Third: Suggestions: The researcher suggests conducting the following studies: 1- Conducting an evaluation study of the social studies curriculum in the intermediate stage in the light of constructivist thought 2- Conducting a study to find out the availability of constructivist thought in the social studies curricula for the intermediate stage.

3- Making a comparison between the social studies curricula in Iraq and the social studies curricula at the same stage in neighboring Arab countries.
