The research aims to analyze science books that include chemistry for the middle stage according to the levels of depth of knowledge represented by remembering, reproduction, application of concepts, skills, strategic thinking and extended thinking, and in order to achieve the goal of the research, the descriptive and analytical approach was used.
The sciences included in the intermediate stage chemistry, the research tool consisted of preparing a list of indicators for the levels of depth of knowledge, which numbered (41) indicators, whose validity and reliability were verified.
The two researchers analyzed the content of the science book that included (the two chemistry units) for the intermediate stage for the academic year (2019-2020),The explicit idea was adopted as a unit for recording, and Cooper's equation was used to calculate the stability of the analysis, the results showed that the science book that includes the subject of chemistry for the first intermediate grade is the book most interested in levels of depth of knowledge in order to obtain a ratio of (31.7%), while the science book that includes the subject of chemistry was occupied for the class The second average is ranked second at a rate (25.7%).
In light of the research results, the researchers recommended several recommendations, the most prominent of which is the emphasis on inclusion.
The science books that include chemistry for the first and second grades of the intermediate stage for the four levels of depth of knowledge in close proportions with each other, while achieving the criteria of sequencing, complementarity and balance, the two researchers recommended a number of recommendations and proposals.
