Abstract EN

The objective of the research is to address the impact of foreign direct investment on Sudanese exchange rate of currency A case study Arab Direct investments 1990-2012.

The research adopted the analytical descriptive method specifically the econometric method.

The problem of research was a major question: What is the impact of Arab investments on the exchange rate in Sudan? .The most important hypotheses of research are: the existence of a positive relationship between foreign direct investment and the price of the Sudanese currency exchange, and a positive relationship between the national income and the price of the Sudanese currency exchange, and the existence of an in-verse relationship between inflation and the price of the Sudanese currency exchange.

The research found a number of the most important results: that the increase in the volume of Arab investments leading to the improvement of the Sudanese currency exchange rate, the high rate of inflation leads to the deterioration of the Sudanese currency exchange rate.

The research found a number of recommendations including: facilitating procedures and laws and improve the investment climate in Sudan to attract more Arab capital in order to improve the value of the Sudanese pound, as recommended research to control the money supply and reduce inflation rates and thus improve the value of the Sudanese currency exchange rate.
