The aim of the research was to investigate the effectiveness of a Program based on social Constructivist Theory for developing Reflective Thinking skills for first-year secondary students.

Social Constructivist Theory, Plateau Climbing Strategy, and meditative thinking skills), then preparing the research tool (reflective thinking skills test), and applying them to the research sample consisting of (36) male and female students, who were divided – randomly – into two groups – control and experimental – equally.

Using the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficients, Klumgrove-Smirnov test, t-test, Mann-Whitney test, Wilcoxon test, Blake-adjusted gain equation, and effect size; The research came to several results; Most notably: a program based on social constructivist theory is effective in developing the reflective thinking skills of first-year secondary students, and finally, a set of recommendations and proposed research.
