Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the level of scientific values among high school students in the scientific branch in the year 2021 AD from the point of view of teachers.

The researcher followed the descriptive approach.

She prepared a questionnaire consisting of (36) paragraphs, divided into seven values, namely: (curiosity, scientific honesty, scientific methodology in thinking and experimentation, scientific partnership and cooperation, acceptance of criticism, appreciation of science and scientists, and deliberation in judgment).

The questionnaire was applied to the study sample, which consisted of (123) male and female high school teachers for the scientific branch in the governorates of Gaza.

The sample consisted of (57) male and (66) female teachers.

The results of the questionnaire showed that the value of curiosity ranked first with a relative weight of (67.12%), followed by the value of appreciation of science and scientists which got the second place with a relative weight of (66.76%).

In the third place came the value of accepting criticism with a relative weight of (65.53%), followed by the value of scientific partnership and cooperation which got the fourth rank with a relative weight of (65.02%).

Next came the value of the scientific honesty that got the fifth rank with a relative weight of (64.34%), followed by the value of the deliberation in judgment which got the sixth rank with a relative weight of (62.85%).

In the last place came the value of the scientific methodology in thinking and experimentation which got the seventh rank with a relative weight of (61.46%).

These results show that the total degree of the values got a relative weight of (64.81%), meaning that all the values did not reach the level of sufficiency which was 80%.
