Abstract EN

The issue of transportation in the state of Khartoum has become one of the biggest problems that haunt the concerns of citizens and the government alike.

The study also addressed the transportation crisis in the state of Khartoum (causes, effects and proposals for solutions).

The study relied on the historical method to track the phenomenon under study and the descriptive approach to describing and analyzing this phenomenon.

The questionnaire was used as a tool to collect data.

The study concluded that the problem is rooted and multifaceted, which requires a total narration to solve it, and it became clear that the majority of the sample members move daily to the city center by 57.7%, followed by those who move most of the time by 22.8%, and the majority of the sample members move by public vehicle at 71.5%, followed by the ratio 12.4% of those traveling in a private car, while those transporting in group deportation, 7.5%.

The study recommended the necessity of strengthening oversight of the transport and public transport sector, working to rehabilitate and expand roads, diversify means of transportation and use means of greater capacity.
