The study dealt with the impact of the conflicts of the Horn of Africa on the Sudanese national security.

The study problem represented the nature and dimensions of the conflicts in the Horn of Africa, which are intertwined demographically, tribally and religiously in fueling the conflict, and affecting the Sudanese national security.

And the difficulty of resolving these conflicts due to their association with internal, regional and international factors.

We derive the importance of the study from the great importance of the Horn of Africa from a strategic and geopolitical point of view, and its great impact on Sudan.

The study aimed to identify the conflicts in the Horn of Africa, study their conditions and their impact on Sudanese national security, the dangers surrounding Sudan as a result of the political movement of the countries in the region, and develop strategies that would resolve future conflicts.

The study followed the historical method, the descriptive analytical method, and the case study method.

The study came out with several results, including that conflicts and disputes in the Horn of Africa affect the Sudanese national security politically, economically, socially and militarily, and that Ethiopia is a key party in all conflicts in the Horn of Africa, and that solving the problem of the collapsed state in Somalia helps to achieve security and stability in region.

The presence of refugees on the border with Eritrea constitutes a major security concern, and their care needs regional and international support.
