The field study was conducted on those working in those economic activities in the city of Fayoum, and the research relied on the anthropological approach in studying the phenomenon, and mixing between the quantitative and qualitative trends in scientific research, using the descriptive analytical method, with the employment of anthropological research methods: direct observation, interview, compulsory In addition to the sampling social survey method, quantitative data were collected using the Thruston-three-graded scale.

The research reached a set of results, the most important of which are: that the structural defect in the socio-economic construction was the cause of the spread of the phenomenon of fragile and marginal businesses, and that there were social effects on the families of workers as a result of work interruption due to the application of precautionary measures, as it became clear that there are deep economic effects on the family from the neighborhood: The cessation of sources of family income, the increase in unemployment in the city of Fayoum, and the deterioration of the living conditions of families.

The study also recommended the need for government intervention; to control the movement of the economy in the Egyptian society, and the city of Fayoum in particular
