Abstract EN

This research discusses Khaled Muhammad Khaled's vision for renewing Islamic religious discourse, through his book "From Here We Begin" through several axes.

The first axis: is to clarify the concept of progressive religion and its ability to lead the demonstration of the Renaissance.

The second axis: denying the religious authority from Islam and rejecting its guardianship over the economy, reason and spiritual concepts.

The third axis: reforming the intellectual system in Al-Azhar.

The fourth axis: defending women's political rights and their right in the public states, including the judiciary.

What is new in the research is that his vision of renewing religious discourse was not supportive of the secular trend in Arab thought This is in line with his opinion, in which he declared the separation between religion and the state in a purely secular vision - in the same book - but came in the renewal of religious discourse supporting the conciliation trend, so that his argument with his opponents came constructive and effective in the ability to accept the other, as Abdal-Mutaal al-Saidi, Farid Wagdy, Mohammed El Ghazali and others, as if he and his opponents were playing the same instrument but with different tones.
