The study aims to introduce the linguist Ali bin Issa Al-Ramani, who died in the year 384 A.H., and his grammatical efforts, especially in his interest in studying letters of meanings, their connotations, and their importance in the Arabic sentence.

The study method included introducing Al-Rumani, his life and linguistic efforts, then an introduction to his book, the meanings of the letters and the most important notes recorded on it.

Because it has an important relationship in the position of the letters of meanings and their functional connotations within the linguistic structure and its connection In speaking some of them, then the research reaches a mention of the grammatical differences in Al-Ramani and it was adopted in the presentation of letters as it came in the book Al-Ramani reinforced the explanation by reference to grammatical sources such as Sibawayh’s book and the writings of Ibn Jinni, Ibn Hisham Al-Ansari, Al-Suyuti and others, in addition to books of interpretations such as Tafsir Al-Qurtubi and others.

In his classification of letters, he moves away from the educational method, and his style was characterized by simplicity and simplicity, with his interest in the grammatical significance of letters without addressing their work in verbs and nouns.

We recommend researchers to search for it in other books by Al-Ramani, while expanding the title of the research because of its importance in the Arabic language lesson in general and the grammar lesson in particular.
