The study aims to develop the teacher preparation system in the Republic of Yemen in light of Malaysia’s experience, the study depends on the the comparative analytical method.
Because it is the most suitable method to study the situations of the educational system including the teacher preparation systems in different countries in order to make comparison and get benefits of the successful experiences in evaluating, reforming, and developing teacher preparation systems and programs.
One of the most prominent findings of the study was the weak coordination and integration between preparation institutions and teacher work bodies from the concerned ministries of education in Yemen Compared to Malaysia, which determines in advance the numbers required to be accepted in programs the absence of the acceptance standards, of the preparation programs in providing the student teacher with research and communication skills, as well as the weak use of modern teaching strategies and technological innovations in the teacher preparation program in Yemen compared to Malaysia.
The study recommended the need to work on effective coordination and integration between the preparation institutions and the concerned authorities in accordance with a national strategy for the teacher preparation system in Yemen, and to raise the standards for student admission in teacher preparation programs, so that students with high skills and abilities are accepted, as well as the need to pay attention to the use of modern teaching strategies and techniques.
