Abstract EN

The current research aims to know the phenotypic-essential identity among university students, as well as knowing the significance of the differences in the phenotypic-essential identity among university students according to gender variables (males, females) and academic specialization (scientific, human), and in order to verify this, the researcher built a scale The phenotypic identity - intrinsic, based on Fromm's theory (From1989) and to complement that, the researcher applied the two scales to a sample of (400) male and female students at the University of Al-Qadisiyah that was chosen by the stratified random method according to the proportional method.

The research reached the following results: 1- The phenotypic identity is statistically significant for university students 2- There are statistically significant differences in the phenotypic identity - intrinsic for females more than males.
