Abstract EN

This research investigates the importance of reconciliation in retribution crimes in the Saudi legal system in comparison with the Egyptian law.

The Saudi legal system are applied in criminal cases according to the Islamic jurisprudence.

The Saudi judiciary urges reconciliation in all cases.

Its judicial applications, in particular, in retribution crimes are prominent.

We often see the pursuit of reform in most retribution (qisas) cases; Rather, we find that the regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have created units for reform in judicial facilities, such as reform committees and reconciliation units, whether in the districts, the Ministry of Justice, or the Public Prosecution.

This reduces judicial burdens.

Thus, we find that the Saudi law has expanded more than the Egyptian law in the field of reconciliation in general and in criminal reconciliation in particular, as the Saudi regulator made reconciliation absolute and general among individuals, unlike the Egyptian law, which limited it to some cases according to the Egyptian Penal Code.
