Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the relationship between anthropometric measurements & kinetic abilities among kindergarten children in Seiyun District.

The researcher used the correlational approach, due to its suitability to the nature of this study.

The sample consists of (333) randomly selected children.

To achieve the objectives of the study, anthropometric measurements were used (total body length, palm length, arm length, foot length, thigh length, trunk length, shoulder width, leg circumference, thigh circumference, neck circumference) and tests of kinetic abilities (vertical jump from stability, wide jump from stability, accuracy in shooting, running (30 meters), throwing the ball farthest, dribbling the ball) were made.

The analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation coefficient.

The study results showed that there are positive correlations between the vertical and the wide jump, throwing the ball farthest and most anthropometric measurements except the trunk length.

There is also a positive correlational relationship of statistical significance between 30 meters running and the most anthropometric measurements except the palm length, foot length, thigh length and thigh, leg neck circumferences.

There is a positive statistically significant correlation between ball dribbling and anthropometric measurements (body length, arm length, shoulder width, trunk length and leg circumference) and there is no relationship with other measurements.

The researchers have recommended to sitting up sports programs and activities to develop the kinetic abilities of children that suit the level of physical growth measurements .
