Abstract EN

The research deals with the study of the compositional level in the first five diaries of the poetry collection “Diary of a Sailor” by the Kuwaiti poet Muhammad Al-Fayez.

The collection has shed light on the obstacles the sailor faces during his voyages.

This research came to study texts from this collection by looking into structures and connotations while following the descriptive analytical approach.

This paper focuses on studying the level of positional, reduction and expansion structures.

The study elaborates the role of these structures in highlighting the feelings and emotions, and in revealing the poetic experience and the semantics expansion of the texts.
