This study aimed to detect the required conditions for designing a scientific sample in social and media research and recognize the random selection methods that could be used, in addition to alerting about the most important errors that researchers make in choosing an appropriate sample for the nature and objectives of the research by relying on the inductive method by which the researcher traced the work of specialists in the basics of sampling and monitoring the researchers' and doctoral students' errors.

He concluded that these mistakes resulted from unfamiliarity with sampling rules and their proper requirements, a misunderstanding of random selection methods, and inaccuracy in their application.
