Abstract EN

The rise of China occupies an important position in the Western discourse and academic debates This study attempts to understand the nature of these current transformations and seeks to discuss the limits of the Rationalism (Realist-Liberalist) explication about the Chinese Belt and Road Initiative by highlighting alternative discourses that take in to account the complexity and entanglement that characterizes the initiative by inserting critical interpretation.

The study seeks to critique the hegemony of traditional reductionist paradigms.

The study argues that going beyond Rationalist logic and moving toward theoretical pluralism and interdisciplinary interpretations will allow to reconstitute the cognitive structures and discourses about the Belt and Road Initiative.
